Perceptions of English Language Teachers and Supervisors Toward Using Experiential Learning in Teaching English

This study sought to assess the use of experiential learning as a method for teaching English to intermediate-stage students, based on the perceptions of teachers and supervisors in Bisha Province. A descriptive research approach was employed. A questionnaire was used to collect data. The sample comprised 100 participants, including 73 teachers and 27 supervisors. The findings indicated a moderate level of actual usage of experiential learning, with a mean score of 3.25 and a relative weight of 9.8%. The study also identified an average level of requirements for experiential learning, with a general mean of 3.23 and a relative weight of 9.16%. The average difficulty level associated with implementing experiential learning was 3.21, with a relative weight of 9.08%, reflecting moderate challenges The researchers recommended emphasizing experiential learning within the educational framework, particularly as a strategy to enhance students' academic motivation. The study suggests strategies, including providing additional support and resources for teachers, improving time management, developing assessment methods tailored to experiential learning, and creating a supportive learning environment to enhance language development.
